Half of holidays gone

Well,

Haven't done much homework. Only did 2 Chinese newspaper artciles. Need to do 10! Havent even read duzhe magazine yet.

KL trip with my teammates was extremely fun! Love it. I also learnt how to play bridge and Grand Theft Auto!

Also enjoyed tennis lesson, but no buddy to play with.
So if you can play tennis, feel free to contact me! Thanks!

This week didn't go training at all, then still have StanChart. Was sick. Sad. =( I hope Ben recovers from his injury too. He must be feeling worse than me.

Ok, my dad wants me to sleep. Till then.

Found this informative

Hi,

You must have noticed that some of your friends wear glasses whose lenses change opacity under different lighting.

Nope, they are not from Hogwartz. This is the work of Redox Chemistry.

Basically, in their lenses, called photochromic lenses, silver chloride (AgCl) and copper(I) chloride (CuCl) crystals are added during the manufacturing of the glass while it is in the molten state and these crystals become uniformly embedded in the glass as it solidifies.

One characteristic of silver chloride is its suscepitibility to oxidation and reduction by light as described below.

The chloride ions are oxidized to produce chlorine atoms and an electron. The electron is then transferred to silver ions to produce silver atoms. These atoms cluster together and block the transmittance of light, causing the lenses to darken. This process occurs almost instantaneously. As the degree of "darkening" is dependent on the intensity of the light, these photochromic lenses are quite convenient and all but eliminate the need for an extra pair of sunglasses.

The photochromic process would not be useful unless it were reversible. The presence of copper (I) chloride reverses the darkening process in the following way. When the lenses are removed from light, the following reactions occur:

The chlorine atoms formed by the exposure to light are reduced by the copper ions, preventing their escape as gaseous atoms from the matrix. The copper(I) ion is oxidized to produce copper(II) ions, which then reacts with the silver atoms as shown.

The net effect of these reactions is that the lenses become transparent again as the silver and chloride atoms are converted to their original oxidized and reduced states.

Hi there!

Havent post for quite a while, 2 months to be exact. So here I am again. Will keep my posts short, because electricity rates are high => inflation.

Well, eoys are not bad, but can be better cos I continued to play and mug X-COUNTRY, according to some of my friends. Btw, how to mug for cross country ar? Haha.

I've begun to like each passing holiday more and treasure them more. This holiday, I've picked up a new sport. Yes, that's tennis. I really love it and have found a coach. =) Good coach, but a bit ex.

Oh well, and training is also very fun. Cos Mr Lim is away for 2 weeks! Played badminton, tennis, etc after and even before trainings! Haha.

Till then, see you'll again. Looking forward to my tennis lessons, X-country trip and maybe, Standard Chartered 10k run.

happie

Post before EOYs!

Hi all,

Study hard for ur EOYs! Make use of the DMP time........ Have fun! And stay injury free! Smile!

See y'all

Summary of events this week
Well let me talk about my Physio with Dr Steiner. Was fun........... He practically jerked me out of the bed! He's friendly too........ Though he charges a lot.........His skill is good though.........And I can understand his slang at times. he's a swiss.
Was hit by a medicine ball during training on Monday.............. The nose hurts......... recovered yesterday........... Need to be careful! PS: Huang Jie, its ok, I know you didn't do it on purpose.

Today so sad, Mr. Lim says that I'm limping. Did I? So instead of running 12k, only ran 8k. Humph! But had fun playing basketball. Played with a few other people........ They called me the 'dangerous boy' cos I was really damned pro....... Lols.

My table tennis improved too! So happy to beat Matthew (Lee, not Matthew Lo the happy feet) 18-16, 11-7! Yeah! Funny thing. I beat Matthew then Matthew beat Dewin the Mr. Kek. And yet I lost to Dewin. Lols.

Oh ya, Ben's damn pro. Yesterday, He swam for ACE Swim Club 2 hours, then Wushu, then today morning ran 12k in 54mins! And in the heavy rain! Pro.......... I wanna be like him. Anyway, was glad that I did go for long run today. I insisted on going, my parents no choice. Poor mummy, need to wash muddy clothes and shoes! Sorry but I really like to run..............

Oh yes, didn't collect KPE Race Pack. I need to study plus today already ran. Maybe going to sign up New Balance Real Run...........

OK, now I will mug, but not forgetting play. After EOYs, I will learn tennis, swim GoldStar and maybe learn a slightly slack sport. Maybe table tennis!

happie =)

Yet another joke

During the Great Depression, there was a man who walked into a bar one day. He went up to the bartender and said, "Bartender, I'd like to buy the house a round of drinks."The bartender said, "That's fine, but we're in the middle of the Depression, so I'll need to see some money first." The guy pulled out a huge wad of bills and set them on the bar. The bartender can't believe what he's seeing. "Where did you get all that money?" asked the bartender. "I'm a professional gambler," replied the man.The bartender said, "There's no such thing! I mean, your odds are fifty-fifty at best, right?""Well, I only bet on sure things," said the guy."Like what?" asked the bartender."Well, for example, I'll bet you fifty dollars that I can bite my right eye," he said. The bartender thought about it. "Okay," he said. So, the guy pulled out his false right eye and bit it. "Aw, you screwed me," said the bartender, and paid the guy his $50."I'll give you another chance. I'll bet you another fifty dollars that I can bite my left eye," said the stranger. The bartender thought again and said, "Well, I know you're not blind, I mean, I watched you walk in here. I'll take that bet." So, the guy pulled out his false teeth and bit his left eye."Aw, you screwed me again!" protested the bartender."That's how I win so much money, bartender.I'll just take a bottle of your best scotch in lieu of the fifty dollars," said the man. With that, the guy went to the back room and spent the better part of the night playing cards with some of the locals. After many hours of drinking and card playing, he stumbled up to the bar. Drunk as a skunk, he said, "Bartender, I'll give you one last chance. I'll bet you five hundred dollars that I can stand on this bar on one foot and piss into that whiskey bottle on that shelf behind you without spilling a drop."The bartender once again pondered the bet. The guy couldn't even stand up straight on two feet, much less one. "Okay, you're on," he said. The guy climbed up on the bar, stood on one leg, and began pissing all over the place. He hit the bar, the bartender, himself, but not a drop made it into the whiskey bottle. The bartender was ecstatic. Laughiing, the bartender said, "Hey pal, you owe me five hundred dollars!"The guy climbed down off the bar and said, "That's okay. I just bet each of the guys in the card room a thousand bucks each that I could piss all over you and the bar and still make you laugh!"

Jokes to relax while you mug for EOYs

Asking Mommy
Little Johnny and her mother were out and about. Little Johnny, out of the blue, asked her mother, "Mommy, How old are you?" The mother responded, "Honey, women don't talk about their age. You'll learn this as you get older.Little Johnny then asked, "Mommy, how much do you weigh?" Her mother responded again, "That's another thing women don't talk about. You'll learn this too, as you grow up."Little Johnny still wanting to know about her mother, then fires off another question, "Mommy, Why did you and Daddy get a divorce?"The mother, annoyed by the questions, responded, "Honey, that is a subject that hurts me very much, and I don't want to talk about it now."The Little Johnny , frustrated, sulks until he is dropped off at a friend's house to play. He consults with his friend about him and her mother's conversation. His friend says, "All you have to do is sneak and look at your mother's driver's license. It's just like a report card from school. It tells you everything."Later, the Little Johnny and her mother are out and about again. The Little Johnny starts off with, "Mommy, Mommy, I know how old you are, You're 32 years old."The mother is very shocked. She asks, "Sweetheart, how do you know that?"The Little Johnny shrugs and says, "I just know. And I know how much you weight. You weight 130 pounds.""Where did you learn that?", said the mother again. The Little Johnny says, "I just know. And I know why you and daddy got a divorce. You got an "F" in sex."

Going To The Toilet
During a good manners and etiquette class being held for young children, the teacher says to her students:"You are courting a well-mannered young girl from a prominent family. During a dinner , you needed to go to the toilet, what will you say to her?"Mike replies: "Wait a second, I'm going for a piss."The teacher says: "That would be very rude and improper on your part."Charlie replies: "I'm sorry I need to go to the toilet, I'll be back in a minute."The teacher says: "That's much better but to mention the word ''toilet'' during a meal, is unpleasant."And Little Johnny says: "My dear, please excuse me for a moment. I have to go shake hands with a personal friend, whom, I hope to be able to introduce to you after dinner. "

Buying a Horse
Lil' Johnny attended a horse auction with his father. He watched as his father moved from horse to horse, running his hands up and down the horses' legs, rump, and chest. After a few minutes, Johnny asked, "Pop, why are you doing that?""Because I'm thinking of buying these horses."Johnny looked worried, "Then I think we'd better hurry home right away!""Why?" his father asked."Because the FedEx man stopped by yesterday, and I think he wants to buy Mom!" (I like this best....... The FedEx man ahem with Lil' Johnny's mum.....)

Plane Conversation
A stranger was seated next to Little Johnny on the plane when the stranger turned to the Little Johnny and said, "Let's talk. I've heard that flights will go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger."Little Johnny, who had just opened his book, closed it slowly, and said to the stranger, "What would you like to discuss?""Oh, I don't know," said the stranger. "How about nuclear power?""OK," said Little Johnny. "That could be an interesting topic. But let me ask you a question first. "A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat grass. The same stuff. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, and a horse produces clumps of dried grass. Why do you suppose that is?""Jeez," said the stranger. "I have no idea.""Well, then," said Little Johnny, "How is it that you feel qualified to discuss nuclear power when you don't know shit?"

A post before the Sept holidays

I dun know what to write.

Ok, all that's in my mind is hoping my injury get well ASAP, and table tennis! Theres being lots of classmates and friends playing it nowadays. Got addicted........... but it's the only sport 'on land' that I can play for the time being -- less impact on the leg.

Looking forward to DMP too. 4 PE DMP modules! Shiok! Will use the time to mug..... EOY is important.

Felt happy and sad

Happy that today morning had the first 12k long run in months! And guess what? I made a PERSONAL BEST of 53:59 (actually I have been doing long steady runs, but not during trainings)! 2nd best was 54:55 set during the last long run months ago. So happy. I'm gonna sustain it forever........ lol.

Sad because firstly, I have been injury prone this few weeks. Fell down on the same injury, and worst, the leg bone that protrudes out hurts. So will be resting (no running) until Wednesday at MacRitchie. Will go swim or cycle instead.

Monday have Sci competition, but Joel dismantled the house cos it was too lousy and after training today, went to school and the lab tech wasnt working, and security guard didnt have the key to the Physics project 'dark' room. Damn. So how are we gonna complete on Monday? Screwed. AND WHAT'S A BLAZER? Teacher say need it on Monday. Another stupid thing. Later blaze you, then catch fire.

Lastly want to say that I am taking part in NIE relay. So good luck! It's on 22nd Aug.

Ouch! The leg hurts. Need to rest, dun want to have injuries. Maria Sharapova withdrew from Olympics cos of shoulder injury from tennis. It's actually stress fracture. That's bad. And Roger Federer most likely unable to be 1st in the world anymore...................... Sigh, he's a fan of me. I'm a tennis maniac too! PS: See if you can spot a mistake in this paragraph.

Oh yes, will not be going for MacRitchie time-trial, Touch Run nor Inspiration Run tomorrow. Promised my leg to let them rest (in exchange for no injuries ><). By the way, it's stupid for organizers to cram 3 runs in a single day right? Just like June 8th when there was Saucony Run, Saab Duathlon and MacRitchie X-Country marathon.

Bye! Wasted time blogging again. ><

Term 3 till now

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND, HAVENT POSTED IN A MONTH, partly cos didnt go online for 3 weeks le:
Term 3 has been rather hectic. It's all about Racial Harmony Day rehearsals, personal and team trainings and some runs, such as the Osim Triathlon, which I screwed up because Ihave have a lousy bike. Will want my parents to get me one during December holidays. Punggol Central Run (quite ok, was raining, one of the first few, didnt time, but around 21min) and Mizuno Wave Run (44:18 for 10.3k, actually it's a PB! But I'm in adult category and lots of men zoomed past me, so dampened my spirits, hope next year got Junior category) were ok.

Did not sign up for this Sunday's Inspiration Run cos registration closed before I knew it. Nobody in the team' s going too, I suppose? Anyway, the details of this run did not co-relate with that on the event website: Newspaper say 8k run, but website says 4k run. Website says registration closed already, but the way it is wrtten on the newspaper suggests still can register. Lol. 4k not my cup of tea (parody from what ZML's dad told Ben during his 800m run at Gombak), so never mind.

Signed up StanChart marathon yesterday (Last year 10k 46:01, hope to run 42min this year, no prize though, fastest is approx 33min, pro!). Pssssst...... Didnt tell slim. Waited for him to see if he will sign us up but to no avail. So signed up before no more 30% discoiunt! Again, violated the same rule by signing up for RunNUS on my own. But I'm not alone. Some of us also signed up for runs secretly (*Ahem!). Also going for New Balance Real Run this year. Want to get top 20 (medal). Last year 35th, 49:44 for 10k.

Ok, just wanted to add that I was screwed by P. Lim today cos my phone beeped and then didnt admit. Long story aside, need to write lines and phantom chair 1 hour again. But she minused away the infinity points I had already. So good.

Chem CCT was ok, Eng screwed up (dun let P. Lim hear this phrase or die, Wang Peng chased out of class today saying this). Time to mug Bio.
Oh yes, forgot to screw Science Club BMW competition too..... NO SCHOOL NEXT MONDAY AFTER RECESS (SCI COMPETITION)! WHICH MEANS NO TRAINING.... WHICH MEANS....... SIAN.......HEY I'M A LOYAL X-C MEMBER OK?

Till then, may not post for the next month! ><

Just being lame

Long run today was screwed. All did 8k at a damn slow pace, except for Shi Kai, who did 9.5k. We skipped all the exercises. Then afternoon went to play 2 hours of soccer, score was 16-13 in favour of my team. That should make up for soccer time for Wednesday's easy run, which I didn't go! =) Will make it a point to go for easy run next week. But Mr. Lim's back, don't know if still can play soccer. Did 100 push ups in the afternoon! Yeah! Lol.

Great job to all that took part in the Wings Invitational meet and a thumbs of to Mr. Lim for completing his Gobi March! He will be back next Tuesday, that also means, NO MORE SLACKING for all!

Wa, still got a lot of homework not done. How about you? Here's another comic, which I 'koped' from Zhi Ming's blog (again, sorry Zhi Ming). By the way Zhi Ming did very well for Wings --- 9.42mins for 3k, pro! Hope you'll enjoy......................

Wonderful holidays and comics to enjoy!

Well, I've spent my holidays playing soccer, basketball, training, cycling, plus a bit of badminton and swimming. Sporty eh?

Let's track back some events:
Saucony 100plus Passion Run
Came in 12th position for Men's U-19 (Junior) 10k category
Not fair, some competitors in my category are older than me. (lols, but in a next few years, it's my turn to 'cheat'!)
Was hung a green tag on my neck at the end-point that said: Congrats, you may be one of the winners (top 10). Please report to the area next to the stage.... And so, happily reported. Then, after 2 hours of waiting, 'sorry for the inconvenience caused, pls exchange for a towel as souvenir......' Sigh, just could not believe what the coordinator said to me. But better than nothing! Strive harder next time, need to shave of 59sec to get prize!

Reason for not doing so well: Maybe because havent long run for some time. Only did some intervals and soccer............ But if Zhi Ming, etc take part, I dun even think I can get top 30! ><

Next thing:
Quite some time ago, Aloy threw my key into the sulo care and recycle bin. (But because I threw his basketball inside first for fun). Then kicked down the dustbin and used a stick to start digging my house key. It was so stinky!!!!!!!!! And after that, cleared up the mess. X2 of the dirt and stench. Was quite angry, but I thought of the workers who clean the dustbin everyday.... so I pressed on, WITH ALOY LOOKING ON, NOT DOING ANYTHING. HUMPH! AND SO I USED A HALF EATEN WATERMELON INSIDE THE BIN AND SMACKED AT HIS BASKETBALL. HIS BASKETBALL WAS RED WITH JUICE, SO ENDED UP FAIR AND SQUARE, AND WE WENT HOME. Haha! Fun, but dun want such a thing to happen again. But we were not angry with each other, continued to play everyday.

What I lack this holiday is doing work. Only read newspapers........... Hope it's ok. But I will catch up quickly!

See ya, attached is some math comics courtesy of Zhi Ming's blog................ By the way, Mr. Lim's doing well! =)

Eventful week

Well, last weekend was rather eventful. Let's track back a bit.

Saturday: Long run training. Reported to MacRitchie, then notice the change in venue. Should be at RJC. So, a 11+k run was reduced to a slack 8k run which was way of long run time at MacRitchie. Lol. Then there was the P6 DSA for X-Country. Really admire the first guy who did 5.47 for 1.6k. Only did 7.26 in P6, only slightly faster than him now (on a good day?) Also noticed that I look like the P6s! Haha. They were nervous, and of course, extremely competitive. More than me going for AllComers........

Sunday: Slept till late. Then my mum cooked lunch late, which means late for tuition. I actually planned to go for tuition then go MacRitchie Time Trial at 5pm to see my stamina. Haven't ran long run at MacRitchie for a long time. In the end, skipped Math tuition for the second consecutive week (not inclusive 1 week when teacher was overseas). Next week must go, learn Remainder, Factor theorems and Partial Fractions. Sounds hard huh? Cannot do badly for Maths. And KUDOS TO THOSE THAT COMPLETED THE SUNDOWN (ULTRA)MARATHON!

Today: Intervals at Choa Chu Kang stadium. My dad did not know how to go there, so was late, but luckily Mr. Lim never scold. Ben was running alone, at first Mr. Lim wanted me to join him, but in the end, he say better not, as I probably cannot "push" him. Humph! So ran at 88sec pace instead of 84sec. Ben's pace was slower from previous week's <80sec.

Brief Training log:

5 X 600m
Rest 5-7min
3 X 400m
all at 88sec pace
I felt good....... Reuben stopped halfway (knee pain), he was running faster than me at first. Zhu Jie ran an extra 100m by accident, so screwed up. Lols. Let's cut it short.

Sigh, those doing 200s had a shorter, but tougher training. Mr. Lim was teaching block starts for Yeong Yang and Dong Yee. I've never use a block in my life, probably never in my entire life, cos I'm not a sprinter.

Met all but one of the time for intervals today. Mr. Lim says I'm ready to be 'promoted'. Yeah! :) But had shin splint for continuous exercising for consecutive days. Played soccer, badminton, etc. Slim will kill me if he hears that. So...... Plan to rest until Thurs (Wednesday easy run depends), chiong homework. Felt guilty that I hadn't do much, but was assured that most have done nothing. X)

By the way:
Read 102 pages for 佐贺的超级阿嬷
and Linear Law Assignment.
Dun have a pair for Maths Performance Task!

LOOKING AHEAD:
Tomorrow have RE meeting (sian) and piano lesson. Rest day
Wednesday: May go easy run, play soccer after that? Buy PE with Wilbert. Depends on my shin, cos RUNNING WILL CAUSE HAIRLINE FRACTURES. So, must rest.

Thursday: Intervals at RJC, and see Mr. Lim off at Airport? ALL THE BEST TO HIM!
Saturday: Skip long run for Passion Run
Sunday:
PASSION RUN! GOOD LUCK TO MYSELF FOR THE MEN'S JUNIOR CATEGORY. HOPE I CAN GET A MEDAL, FEEL CONFIDENT AFTER TIME TRIAL YESTERDAY!
COME SUPPORT ME, 8AM AT EAST COAST PARK!

ALSO GOOD LUCK TO MR. LIM AS HE BEGINS HIS 7 DAYS GRUELLING GOBI MARCH!
Training may be slacker during his absence! Psst..........

What a long post.... See ya! Will go start holiday homework now.............. And may the shin splint recover, I dun want injuries. Especially before a race (slim says my season this year over liao...... sneakily sign up myself one........ he was angry that I did not tell him about my signing up for own races.......)

BYE!!!!!!!! YATTAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

REMINDER

PLEASE TAG MORE!!!!!!!!

Continuation of random post.....

Well, though Aloy wasnt in my class at all during primary school, he is actually, one of my best friends, maybe? It is hard to find fault with him, but me, yes. I am too popo mama. His neighbour Jia Hui (who used to be in my class) always called him to join us when we play, thus became friends. And Jia Hui sometimes cannot make it, so only Aloy and I play. It is extremely fun playing with him. Thank you Aloy, U'RE REALLY A GOOD FRIEND! Hope this friendship will last forever! It will!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUN JIE! Tomorrow is my neighbour's birthday.

OK, I look forward to tomorrow's training. Mr. Lim's not here again (he's on course) but at least Mr. Chan's here in his place. So just a mini HAVOC! Hope there's soccer after training....... Long run on Sat too! Long time no 12k le... haiz insufficient preparation for Passion Run......... Race Pack Collection is on Saturday. Actual race next Sun, so will be ponning long dun, most likely. But Mr. Lim's is away again then, he is running for a good cause in the Gobi Desert, 250km, 9kg backpack, 7 days, 3000m altitude! Good luck Mr. Lim! I wanna be like him next time, but need to take good care of my body and legs!

Wow, long posts. So, wont be posting for some time. NEED TO START HOMEWORK! Ok, have read the Chinese book a bit...... See ya soon!

Yet another random post

Well, still havent started homework yet. As usual.

Today, woke up at 6am. Thought about whether if I want to go for easy run. Well, then I went back to sleep, until 9.30am. Sorry to my team. Was feeling guilty, then went to sms Wilbert. My guilt was mitigated when I found out that only 7 people turned up. But I missed out on the soccer they had after the exercises. >< (What does this expression mean? Just copy other
ppl)

Ok, went to play 1.5 hours of badminton at Tampines West CC. Hiya, long time never play, lose Aloy horribly in singles. 15-21, 12-21, 8-21, all loses. Then we paired up to play against other people and lost with a scoreline worse than my playing against him. Jun Jie was commenting about the **** uncle. Maybe Jun Jie, you can help me fill in the missing word? Then had half hour of free court w/0 booking. The next people came late! So we tan-dio (profit in hokkien)! However, it is of note that I won Aloy in doubles when I paired up with Jun Jie. Cos Aloy's partner, Siang Eng, barely had any background (sorry Siang Eng, this is the best choice of words liao!), so I took full advantage of him and won 21-19! was a close fight, as Jun Jie also made some mistakes and Aloy managed to make a comeback. Really need to buck up on my badminton skills, or else, will deprove further. No arm strength to lob and was too panicky. Even the auntie looking on said so. Aloy also pointed out my mistake.

However, as I wanted to work out my legs (still feeling guilty for
ponning easy run), I went to cycle. Did not call Aloy cos was already late, and have been playing with him for consecutive days, scared his mum angry then ground him, then I cannot play le! Lol. Though it was windy, managed to sweat a lot. Also, not as dangerous as no competition with Aloy. Haiz, I am always so kiasu....... want to win Aloy. Both he and I are rather sporty, but I can only win him in running and swimming......... (last time used to beat him in badminton, soccer remains a draw)

Wa, so long post, shall write another post, to be continued!

First Monday of the June Holidays

Everything went on well. Major events? Not really, but I ate an ice-cream. Too many of you, it may be nothing special, but it is rare as I seldom eat ice-cream. Only ate 1.2 ice creams (1 today, about 0.2 at Mr. Chan's party) this year. Lols! The ice-cream is sweet, and that's why I hate them.

Ok, let's talk about my other records:
Never ate a potato chip since Primary 1(I know some will say I am still primary 1, maybe! I hope so!)
Never ate a chocolate since K2(discount Mr. Chan's party, where I ate a small piece)
Soft drinks (coke, sprite, etc): Since P6
But for sports drinks like H2O, I still drink like once a month.

Pro huh? Bet none of you can beat my feat.
Oh ya, never bought chicken wings for fast food store before. Yattaaaaaaaa! I win you. LAME, but this's what blogs are meant for.

Well, had interval training today. Was my best workout because I met all my timings. So happy! Never done this before. Usually will miss at least 1 set. So good job! (that's why I treated myself with ice-cream) I think my group did 1 400m less, but who cares (actually slim and I care, but not Chenglu, Zhu Jie and Pao Jung)? Lol. They slacked a bit, went toilet then did not compensate for the workout missed. Ok, still need to improve on speed.

My 88sec pace is much slower than Ben's 80sec pace. Never mind, since I met all today, Mr. Lim will upgrade me to Windows Vista (just talking crap), it should be 84sec pace, then 80sec pace. I will follow my motto: Ironman, Olympic Gold medallist. Possible? At least the former is possible.

Now, about my holiday work. As usual, I procrastinate, but then the blog also waste my time a lot. So may reduce no. of posts soon. See ya! Beach volleyball and soccer later, and I'm gonna pon easy run on Wednesday!

By the way, today's workout is:

6 X 500m
5mins recovery jog
Then,
3 X 400m (should be 4 X 400m)

When slim's not here. There's havoc. Like today. Everybody except Ben and Chenglu pon exercise. Never mind, will do after paying with my friends later! 哈哈!Work off the calories from ice-cream. Lol.

(Oh no, typed Chinese by accident. Nvm, cya!)

Comments on the 1st weekend of the mid-year holidays

Well, although the holdiays have actually begun, I am feeling quite bored. I suggest that there should not be no long holidays. Instead, there should be 1 week holidays every month, which means that we rest 1 week after maybe 3 weeks of school. In this case, we will not tire out for 10 straight weeks and then slack (and grow fat! for some) for a long time. I feel that this is great, and the number of holidays a year is roughly the same we are having now. Maybe this could be done as part of the English social advocacy project!

Yes, I admit that I hate school. Some subjects like Philo and Research Ed. are downright boring. Ok, let's get back to my weekend. It was boring.

Played Pokemon cards, training, played volleyball, trying to upload pictures of Mr. Au's photos during the farewell party onto my blog but to no avail, oh well, NEED SOME HELP HERE!. Best thing of the weekend is that I skipped Math tuition. Yeah..........

Oh, going out to play ball le. Bye bye. Till then.

Something to ponder about....

Well, I put this in a new post as I want those too lazy to read long posts to know about this too.

Since the abolishment of mid-year Common Tests, we have CCTs in place. Hopefully, the Sec 3s will realise that other schools, just like when we were in lower sec, still have a mid-year exam, and they can go home right after the tests. But now, we still need to go to school..... And we dont have marking days too. Sigh! Maybe can do this for social advocacy project.

And hope you have learnt an important lesson during today's assembly.

Ok, I also wonder who will be my next Bio teacher? Mr. Au hinted that it is a male, and probably, another one, that has just graduated! Mr. Au the second? Haha.....

Happy holdiays!

Holidays are here again! Yattaaaaaaaa!

Yattaaaaa! Today is the last school day of semester 1, and what awaits (or actually has begun), is the long June holidays! The last week of school has being extremely eventful, with the funniest being the SHS visit on Tuesday. Ahem.

Yesterday, we saw the departure of a couple of school teachers, namely Mr Harold Au and Mr Clement Zheng. Well, both are great teachers. Of course, I knew Mr Au better since he teaches me Bio, but Mr Zheng does not teach me. Had a mini party for him yesterday. We chipped in to give him a mango cake. I was somewhat the official photographer, taking sneaky videos and photos of him. The best part was he had the courage to put a condom into his mouth. Oh no, inappropriate choice of words. He actually ate a strawberry (which we intentionally ordered to be laced on the cake), but there were rumours going on saying that he uses strawberry flavoured condoms from 7-11! Thus the reason why I said he ate a condom. Lol.

Well, Mdm Bek has finally given me a chance for RE, really need to put in more effort. By the way, our class didnt do well for HCL(not hydrochloric acid), the CA class average was a fail for term 2. And this leads to me commenting about the Physics SPA today.

It was quite easy to find the distance between the converging lens and screen that produces the real, magnified image, but I could not find the diminished image. It was too small, and many of my classmates, including me, did not noticed it at first. Well, by the time, I found out the distance, a lot of time was wasted. The result table was done in a hurry, same as the graph. Worse, my best fit line was just a random line, 3 marks gone. One of my friend cheated the results. Ahem, own up la!

Well, quite some homework for the holidays, do not procratinate, as usual. Sigh, but I dont seem to learn my lesson.

Ok, fartlek at RI field tomorrow, no exercises (because of Founders' Day)! But I will do at home, I have motivation as my packs just gotten clearer! I wanna six b^2-4ac packs! (sec 3s should know what I mean! That's real, distinct packs, not roots, as in Maths) Haha.

Oh, skipped half of easy run on Thurs to go cycling (sorry, need to train cycling leg of OSIM tri), though I did the exercises at Central Park. And played soccer and basketball today with primary school friends. Just don't let slim know. My teammate was chided for playing soccer again during training!

Have fun, rest, gear up for term 3. There's an off-week for APCG, but still need to compensate during term 4, sigh. For term 4, there's DMP, which I look forward to. And the races I signed up --- Passion Run etc.

Wow, this is an extemely long post. Thanks for reading up to here!

In Advance Post

Decided to post in advance, cos may not post in the next few days.

Wanted to say that health visits are always lame, with the nurses asking questions like:"Do you smoke? How many hours of sleep do you have?" Lame. Lame. Lame. Hate them.

On the brighter side, the June holiday is round the corner and I am so happy! Will brush up on running, rest, and mug for Semester 2 (almost typed trimester, that's used for pregnancy, lols!). Passion Run with my cousins. Cool! 10k in XXmins? You'll know on June 8th. Dun want to say a time, as I have never met my targets, at least till now. Dun want History to repeat itself again! But of course, my long distance is better than my shorter ones. (Short intervals are a killer!) Like XX said once:"Short legs, no calf muscles, bad combo, cannot run fast". Haha. If I dun have calf muscles, can I still walk? Just trying to find fault with that statement.

Ok, see ya. Looking forward to my P6 class chalet...........

Happie.

Do visit my blog often, even no post just anyhow tag! :-)

Vesak Day eve

Today was a boring day, and my sorrows from yesterday was brought forward to today. Well, came in bottom first at AllComers meet yesterday. Wonder how will Mr. Lim feel? But well, I'm not that good, so he may not care. But heard that he is in a bad mood recently.

Eh
heh, here's something interesting for Crossers and whoever who like sports: S'pore is looking for potential race-walkers between 13 and 18 years old. Walk for 10k at about 4 min per km speed! Once you lift your legs off the ground by too much, disqualified!(95-96sec pace, but that's world class timing). There's also a 4k Junior Walk Championship for age 13-16 athletes! Check the SAA website yourself!

Did some slack training today. 11.5 X 400m at 88sec pace, with loads of rest in between. Wanted to stop as there wasn't anybody to run with, but a saw a boy around P3 (smaller than me,
lols!), going lap after lap. He did 2.4k, around 15mins, I think. He was funny too, when I stopped after each lap, he ran past me with a yeah! And when I overtook him after I started my next set, he frowns and needs encouragement from his dad. When my dad came to tell me to go home as it is quite dark already (7.30pm), he was still running sluggishly. But when he saw I stopped, he grinned and also called it a day. And so I ran another lap to see his reaction. Immediately, he dropped his bottle and towel and started running again. This continued for a some time, neither party wanting to give up. In the end, I approached him, and told him that he won (very late already!) He smiled and then jeered:"Boo!" at me. Shook hands and left. Who's cuter? Me or him? Should be me right? YATTA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did not mug a lot, just did some Physics revision, when there is nothing
except for Physics practical test on the last day of school. ;-(. Oh ya, there's Philo next week. Induction, deduction, sian.......

Ok, tomorrow's Vesak Day, and I will pray hard that Amithabha will let me fulfill my dream of running fast and win! By right, season over for me already...... but I decided to take part in some 5k and 10k runs with my cousins (Passion Run, etc), as a motivation, dun bore to death. Long run tomorrow on my own, hope the boy is at Tampines Stadium again, I'm ready for round 2!

Till then!

Happie.

Welcome to my Anak--blog!

Well, anak means child in Malay. My earlier blog was deleted by me cos I was pissed off with it, was a failure for some reasons. This is the second blog, so named it anak randomly?!
